SUN, NOV. 20 – 2 to 5 PM at la Spiga
A high tea event fit for a queen, conceptualized by our fabulous November guest pastry chefs Alice McCarthy and Nirav Vashi. Revel in the ritual of sipping rich fragrant teas while savoring gourmet scones, delightful tea sandwiches and refined pastries all produced by our November guest chef duo.
Introducing our November Guest Chefs:
Chef Alice is a Seattle Culinary Academy Alumna and got her start at Grand Central Bakery. She grew up in Alaska and moved to Seattle in 2003. Her passion for baking and pastry spans decades; the love was passed down from baking with her Mom and Grandma. Alice has previously worked at Grand Hyatt Seattle, Olive 8 and Hyatt Regency Seattle for 14 years.
NIRAV P. VASHI
Chef Nirav comes from India and graduated in Pastry from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand after a short stint at business school, realizing his passion for baking. After moving to the U.S. in 2009, Nirav worked with Hyatt Hotels in Washington DC as well as other fine dining restaurants. He also worked in San Francisco for Loews Regency, and ultimately moved to Seattle in 2020, where he is loving the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
