We're excited to introduce our August Guest Chefs:
ADAMA JAMMEH & OUMIE SALLAH
Afella Jollof Catering
Sisters Adama & Oumie founded Afella Jollof Catering after settling down in the Greater Seattle area 3 years ago. Growing up in their mom's kitchen, they were taught the traditional ways of Senegambian cooking. Afella translates to "tastes good" in the Serere language spoken in Gambia & Senegal, and Jollof is a local name given to the place. These two chefs share their wonderful Senegalese and Gambian heritage through a wide variety of authentic Senegambian dishes.

STARTER
Spinach Stew

fresh spinach stewed with tomatoes, onions, peas and carrots, plus our “jumbo” seasoning and herbs

ENTREE  (choose one)
Fish Yassa with Jollof Rice
grilled whole tilapia marinated overnight with onion, garlic, mustard, lemon, and chef’s secret “nokoss” seasonings; served with broken jasmine rice caramelized in tomato paste, whole tomatoes, onions, garlic parsley and cilantro

Goat Dibi with Yellow Rice
halal goat meat seasoned with our “nokoss” and “maggie” seasonings, with grilled red onions, bell peppers and yellow rice

DESSERT

organic steamed millet, peanut butter mixed with our organic baobab powder, vanilla sugar, essence food flavor, milk, greek yogurt and brown sugar
