Cooking & Storage Instructions for Frozen Pasta
- Must be kept frozen until use
- Use within one month of purchase
- For best results, cook all of la Spiga pastas from frozen in a large pot of boiling salted water, then toss immediately with your sauce of choice to prevent sticking
- For gnocchi, cook small quantities at a time and do not stir, when the gnocchi rise to the surface, cook for 1-2 minutes longer then skim off surface and gently toss with heated sauce, continue cooking the remainder of the gnocchi in this manner; cook from frozen for approximately 5 minutes
- For tagliatelle, drop frozen tagliatelle in the water and after 30 seconds stir to loosen up the pasta so that it separates properly and cooks evenly; cook from frozen for approximately 6 minutes
- For tortelli, drop in the pot, after 3 minutes stir gently to turn the tortelli over for even cooking; cook from frozen for approximately 6-8 minutes
