BayHaven Food & Wine Festival

OCTOBER 22-24  |  Charlotte, NC

Chef Sabrina is thrilled and honored to be a participant in the inaugural BayHaven Food & Wine Festival, Oct. 22-24 – a 3-day foodie festival dedicated to celebrating Black Chefs, Black food and Black culture. She will be joining over 75 culinary and hospitality professionals, including chefs, farmers, winemakers, brewers, distillers and other artisans.

The idea for the BayHaven Food & Wine Festival came from husband-and-wife team chef Greg and Subrina Collier, owners of the acclaimed Leah and Louise restaurant in Charlotte, NC. “We noticed a huge void in the festival scene that excluded Black chefs, Black food and Black culture,” says Subrina. “Rather than telling other festivals to include us more, we decided to stop asking and create our own.” Citing a lack of diversity in the restaurant industry, their mission is, "the economic empowerment and community development through the hospitality industry."

A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit No Kid Hungry.
